ESG & Local Content

ESG is real in Oil & Gas when it is built into systems, behaviours, and decisions. OMALU’s ESG approach focuses on practical controls: safety, environment, people, and governance—measured through continuous improvement.

Safety and wellbeing

We prioritise safe planning, supervision, hazard awareness, and learning from events. Strong safety culture requires leadership behaviours and disciplined systems—not just statements.

Environmental responsibility

We aim to minimise environmental impact through controlled work practices, waste awareness, and responsible resource use—supported by continuous improvement approaches aligned with established environmental management system principles.

People and local value

Angola’s local content framework aims to grow national participation and protect and develop Angolan jobs and skills.

OMALU’s ambition is to build a predominantly national workforce, supported by training and partnerships that transfer capability into Angola.

Governance and integrity

We promote ethical conduct, transparent procurement discipline, and clear reporting lines. Where we reference third parties, we do so responsibly and without implying endorsement.
